Director’s Update
G’day,
Greetings in the name of Jesus the Messiah!
It seems that 2023 is the year of relocation. After five years of looking for a new FOI-A Office location, we have finally moved into well-situated and suitable new premises. Our office staff all live north of the city of Adelaide and commuting to our previous office was almost an hour one way. Now, it is five to ten minutes away, which is such a saving in time.
The new address is Shop 5/19 Ways Road, Hampstead Gardens, SA 5086 and our Post Office address is P.O. Box 455, Greenacres, SA 5086. The telephone number remains the same (08) 8276 1333.
Accompanying this move was God’s generous provision of several large financial gifts that confirmed the decision to enter into a commercial lease for five years at a higher amount than we were previously paying at Edwardstown Baptist Church Community Centre. The ground floor location in a nearby suburb is a remarkable provision at an affordable rent, despite the increased cost.

Lyndon and Janine Beasy have now also relocated to Sydney where they will commence their ministry and further the work established by Dr Deane and Margaret Woods. God has provided a spacious home in a good location at an affordable rent and opened the way for Janine to retain her employment working remotely from home. Their presence in Sydney will enable Lyndon to connect with the Jewish community through an existing friend with whom he has shared a common interest. Please remember them in prayer as they settle into this strategic ministry.
God has also provided a new home for Simon and Jo Lawry. They are now located in Caloundra, north of Brisbane and Jo was also able to keep her employment and work remotely from home. After a turbulent 2022, they can now settle down and focus on the significant ministry that Simon does in development. God answers prayer and so please remember them in your prayers.
In addition to these local provisions, God has opened an exciting opportunity of partnership in supporting Israelis defend their communities from terrorist attacks using incendiary devices. FOI already provides firefighting units, but training in firefighting and fire prevention is critically needed, especially for kibbutzim located near Gaza. Timothy Wainwright is a New South Wales firefighter and has been meeting some of these needs, but he needs financial support to continue the work.
Last year we provided a $25,000 grant for him to conduct this very practical training in Israel. The outcomes were outstanding and we believe a return visit is essential. Timothy has the knowledge and experience to make a significant difference for these Israeli communities. FOI-A is raising funds to send him to Israel, covering the costs of travel, accommodation and equipment. Would you consider joining with us in making this possible?
