How is your donation is being used?
1. Bomb Shelters:
Israel continues to need more Bomb Shelters that are portable and can be moved as required. To date FOI has supplied around 70 shelters and moved many others.
2. Food:
One of the greatest needs on the ground is food. We are working with multiple partners to get food to hungry, poor, out-of-work, and displaced people. One of our primary partners is Leket Israel (the national food bank). From hot meals, to frozen soups, to dry meals, to food for IDF soldiers we are feeding as many as possible as quickly as possible.
3. Direct Aid
To Israeli victims of terror and their families: this includes direct funding for hotels, food, clothes, medications, hospital care, and transportation.
4. Security Upgrades
For volunteer civilians in select municipalities, including communications equipment, flak jackets, helmets, cameras, etc.
We do not supply the IDF.
5. Humanitarian Care
Lodging, trauma counselling, medical care, and rehabilitation for civilians, Holocaust survivors, new immigrants (yes, there are still new immigrants coming in), lone soldiers, and injured soldiers.
6. Medical Supplies
For Magen David Adom, Israel’s Medical Emergency Service.
