UNPREDICTABLE TIMES AT REDEMPTION SEASON.
With Passover and Easter converging once again, we might say it is the “Redemption Season”. Easter brings into focus the personal redemptive work of Messiah, and Passover the national salvation of a people belonging to God. Each event was unpredictable and uncertain to those closest to the unfolding dramas.
As the Jewish people sit down at the Seder table in unpredictable times, what might be on their minds, particularly those in Israel?
TENSIONS RISING IN THE WAR ON HAMAS
Tensions are rising in Gaza as the battle reaches it’s most critical juncture since the attacks against Israel by Hamas in October last year. In the final push to to eradicate Hamas from Gaza, Israel is facing direct opposition from its sworn ally the US. The global pressures are also mounting against Israel and a barrage of media reports on deteriorating conditions for Gazans’ all create a perfect storm with the world watching and waiting for what happens next.
